Andrew Ritenour is a Music Education undergraduate student at Grove City College in Grove City, PA. At Grove City, he is actively involved in numerous performing ensembles. Instrumentally, he participates in the GCC Wolverine Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Orchestra, and a brass quintet. Vocally, he is involved in the Grove City College Touring Choir, and has been a member of GCC Singers and Chapel Choir. Andrew has been given many opportunities for leadership at Grove City. He served as a librarian, president and past-president of the GCC Wolverine Marching Band and is also the tuba section leader. He was chosen as the 2011-2012 GCC Stage Band (Jazz Ensemble) Student Director, where his responsibilities include rehearsing and performing with the ensemble. In addition to studying privately on the tuba, he has also taken lessons in voice and piano. He has been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band two years in a row, was selected to present the session, “Building Your Online Portfolio and Transforming Your Digital Footprint” at the 2012 Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Association State Conference in Lancaster, PA, and was chosen to participate in the TI:ME Leadership Academy as part of the TI:ME national conference in conjunction with the Jazz Educators Network.
